Sports have accompanied me since early childhood. I started skiing when I was three! My father, a physical education teacher, provided me with the opportunity to try different disciplines and discover the beauty in them. Following the initial successes in Poland, I decided to devote my life to sports and enrolled in the Sports School in Szczyrk. In a sense, that was the moment when I became a professional athlete. Soon my career gained momentum. My achievements so far include: 13 senior championships of Poland, 15th position in the team sprint at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, 4th position at the 2015 Universiade in Štrbské Pleso, 8th position at the 2017 Senior World Championships in Lahti.
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING, THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN’T SUCCEED
My goal for the coming season is to take a place on the podium of the World Cup as well as to join the best ten in the team sprint and the best 15 in the sprint at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. In order to achieve our goals and pursue our dreams, our national team decided to train in Norway. I believe that training with the top skiers in the world will help us improve our levels of sport success and achieve more experience in proper training methods. In 2016, I received the MA degree in physical education, and in the future, having finished my sports career, I’m planning to hold a position in the Board of the Polish Ski Association. To this end, I am currently studying management of sport and tourism organisations at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice.
Most of my hobbies, including ski touring and mountaineering, are connected with being physically active. I also like travelling, and there were times when I would visit five different countries within just one week. As far as reading is concerned, I like Harlan Coben. I am fond of trying dishes of different cuisines. That’s why, each time I return to Katowice, I enjoy discovering new restaurants and new tastes.
